Dr. William (Brian) Dalton is a physician-scientist at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University and an assistant professor of oncology. He trained in cell biology and genetics in the MD/PhD program at Emory University, and completed residency in internal medicine and fellowship in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins University.
His laboratory studies the gene mutations that drive myeloid malignancies using engineered human cell models and primary leukemia samples, with a focus on mutations in the spliceosome. His clinical activities are centered on the management of patients with myeloid neoplasms, as well as other hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplantation.
